How should I prepare for a community yoga class (newbie)?
There's a community yoga class offered in my area. I'm basically new to yoga (except for those beginners tapes which I had trouble following most of - not naturally flexible). I'm still interested in trying a class.
What's it like, what can I expect? How do I dress, what do I bring?
I was thinking just plain cotton exercise pants and a t-shirt, and sneakers I would remove. Do I need to bring my own mat?
Am I supposed to know poses already for a class like this? Would it be okay to go as a beginner?

I think you should definitely go. Community classes are for everyone! Wear something you can move around in...sweats and a T shirt sounds fine (no socks--you'll slip and slide). If you have your own mat then take it. Not all places have mats, and some charge for mat rental. Also, take some water and maybe a towel. Follow what everyone else is doing. Just do your best and have fun!
